Whether you are a thrill seeker, or a loud Shrieker, this event is likely to get your pulse

racing. Most importantly it is NOT for everyone. The strobe lights and scary costumes take their toll on those with a faint heart.
On October 23rd me and my old friends from home decided to take on the challenge that was Hitchingbrooke horror show, and it was full on. So much so, that within 5 minutes of the guided ghost tour, our friend Jade freaked out and had to leave the show all together. It was extremely hands on (literally) as the characters in the show were allowed to touch you, taunt you and chase you around the whole venue if they wished too.
The tour lasted for around 45 minutes and took you through a series on different stages, that referenced different scary films and TV shows, such as IT, Stranger Things and A Nightmare on Elm street. Each stage has a handful of extremely well placed actors who played the role of different Horror movie favourites. Their costume, makeup and special effects were unfaultable, and impeccably believable. They defiantly got an A* for effort.

Being a group of 6, it was inevitable that some of us would be more scared than others, however its no shock, that all of us were left terrified by one stage or another. With the crazy characters dragging Emily away or the ghostly nuns taking Kyles possessions, its safe to say that we all screamed out at least once throughout the experience. Losing Kathrin and Jade, so early on, left the four of us to face our fears alone. And honestly, I think we did quite well. With Lydia having only just watched her first horror movie just days before, and myself dealing with a bag being placed over my head (without having a total breakdown), I feel like we made the most out of the whole experience, with very few tears.
All in all, it was so much fun, if you can call nearly having a heart attack fun! It was an experience I would love to do again, and I couldn't imagine having done it with anyone else. I had the fright of my life, but it was worth every penny.
