Paris, The city I wished for, The city I saw.
For years I dreamed of walking the streets of Paris, with an iced latte in one hand and a 'Galeries Lafayette' bag in another. This dream became reality for me on Easter weekend as me and my boyfriend flew to the Charles De Gaulle to start our weekend in what soon would be, my favourite City in the world.

Tour de Eiffle
Paris' main attraction, the beautiful sculpture that can be seen for miles. It really is a sight. You really can't take in it's glory until you are stood beneath it. The real fascination is the view from the top. If I have any recommendation for anyone visiting the city is to pay to go to the top and see Paris in all its beauty.
Being in an unknown city can be scary to some, to me it was magical. I had never felt more at home than in a place where I was completely lost. A city that I had never seen became a place I knew in a matter of hours. We walked for miles and saw every inch of those arrondissements that we wanted too, it didn't matter that we were lost, or that we were searching for the next place constantly. All that mattered was we were happy, and we were experiencing everything together.
The Sights
Everyone knows the typically sights of Paris, from the Louvre to the Notre Dame. They were all stunning, and each sight made more special by being with a loved one. However on Easter weekend each moment had a particular feeling too it, almost excitement and fear all mixed into one. Police were on high alert, There were riot vans on every corner, this added to my paranoia. However no feeling or fear was going to stop me enjoying every single moment, because 3 days just was not enough.

The real Paris
People are distracted by Disneyland and The typically sights, that they miss the real Paris. They miss the restaurants and the croissants in boutique coffee shops. They miss crepes off on side streets and old brick pavements. They miss Paris.
I would love to return and do it all again. The small fortune that it costs is worth every penny. I fell in love with the city. I 100% intend to return in my life, and I want to stay for longer and study there. It made me want to learn French, and write for a French magazine, and walk my way around day after day. I want to be lost in the city if love for forever.
